Which Personal Injury Lawyer Should I Select In Louisville?

Louisville Injury LawyerWhich Personal Injury Lawyer Should I Select In Louisville?

This is a loaded question for a personal injury lawyer.  Every lawyer doing personal injury work SHOULD think they are the best.  The big firms will tell you they are better because insurance companies are afraid of size.  Solo practitioners will argue the personal contact you get with a lawyer is important.  I am of the opinion there is simply one choice of injury lawyer in Louisville.

Here are some things you should consider when hiring a personal injury lawyer in Kentucky:

Does The Lawyer Go To Court

There are plenty of big firms that are afraid of court.  Either that or the business model forces them to resolve cases quick and cheap to pay advertising costs.  If you hire a big firm make sure their lawyer will go to Court.  Ask: when was the last time you tried a case?  And how many have you tried?  If the lawyer isn’t trying cases (or litigating) they aren’t holding the insurance company feet to the fire.

Ask me how many cases I tried last year versus the largest advertising firm in Kentucky.  It will blow your mind.

Can I Speak To My Lawyer

There are some firms where you never speak to your lawyer.  This understandably frustrates people.  I get calls once a week on this topic.  You only get one chance to hire the right lawyer the first time around.  Interview a few lawyers before you hire one.  See who responds.  Under no circumstance should you consult with a non-lawyer from the get go.

What Else Is Important

Lawsuits are expensive to prosecute.  Make sure the lawyer has financial wherewithal.  Great staffs are hard to find.  Paralegals get documents to lawyers and are very important.  Trust is important.  Would you take advice from someone you don’t trust?  Finally, is the lawyer likeable?  Jerks don’t do well with juries, courts, or insurance companies.  That is not to say the lawyer can’t be forceful.  There is a tactful way to be strong willed.

There are plenty of options for personal injury lawyers in Louisville and Kentucky.  Do your homework.  Look at Google reviews.  Interview a few lawyers.  Don’t let anyone promise you the world just to sign with them.  And if you have specific questions send them my way for a free consultation.  The lawyer you hire really does make or break your case.
